The Hammers could miss out on a deal to sign Junior Firpo from Barcelona this summer, according to a new report.
A new report claims that AC Milan are interested in a move for the right-back in the transfer window and have opened talks to bring him into the club.
Firpo has been linked with a move to east London in a few transfer windows and the Irons were again seen as a potential landing spot for him this summer.
But it now seems that Milan have taken the lead in the race to snaffle him away from the Camp Nou.
Gianluca Di Marzio, via Milan Reports, claims that Milan are looking for a back-up to their current full-back Theo Hernandez and have subsequently begun negotiations to that end.
Firpo has made just seven appearances for Barca this season and is valued at £9m by Transfermarkt; he has a contract until 2024 at the Camp Nou.
