Report: Hammers deal has bitten the dust

The Hammers have been hit by an entirely unexpected twist in their bid to sign FC Nordsjaelland’s Ibrahim Osman which is now reported as having bitten the dust.

Various stories are circulating about the breakdown of a deal which appeared close, the first being that the Danish club now want £20 million for the player with the Hammers around £3 million short.

But now it seems – according to Farzam Abolhosseini, claimed to be a reliable journalist for Danish outlet DB, the deal has stalled for a more sinister reason.

He claims that talks were going ok between the club and Hammers before what is described as ” a rogue agent” messed things up

It is reported  that Mitch Bakkovens believes he is Osman’s agent although the Danish Football Association have in fact confirmed that Darryl Powell is the player’s representative due to the former possessing “illegal documents”.

Meanwhile, the Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg also reports the deal has bitten the dust claiming that the two sides cannot agree a fee.
However, it is more than possible that with several days left of the window to go it is perfectly possible a deal can be resurrected.
