Report: Hammers enter advanced talks for midfielder

|

West Ham tonight appear to be on the brink of clinching their second signing of the winter window as they enter into advanced  talks aimed at bringing midfielder Tomas Soucek to the club.

The 24 year old Czech international is believed to be close to joining in a deal close to €18 million after David Moyes  decided on a player  who has captained  Slavia Prague 13 times this season, and scored 10 times.

If the Hammers get it over the line he is an individual who will give greater presence in midfield and will follow Darren Randolph into the club.

The Guardian report that the Hammers are hopeful of wrapping up a deal for central midfielder Soucek after  watching Carlos Sanchez struggle against West Brom.

We understand the Irons are set to raise the offer for him from the £15 million they offered initially but are still looking for a striker and right back although those, if completed , would presumably be loan signings.

Had Carlos Sanchez struggled last match I would have been delighted. Struggling means trying.
Let’s hope this gent works well with Rice. Worth a try.

Now this guy is a great player.Like Berge in stature but scores a lot of goals for a midfielder.Stood out when England played the Czech Republic in the Euro Qualifiers and also in the Champions league for Slavia Prague weighing in with goals. Will not jump up and down till its signed and sealed. Now if we could get Moussa Marega too there would be a bit of optimism returning to the club i feel.

Can only hope he can do as well as Thomas Repka in settling in as a fan favourite, who gave his all ( although a bit reckless sometimes,) hope he ain’t coming for a holiday in London like some of the players we have at the moment from abroad ??😊
