Report: Hammers eye another Championship ace

West Ham and Southampton are set to lock horns over Bournemouth winger Arnaut Danjuma, according to The Sun.

The two clubs are both tracking the Championship ace, who cost the Cherries £13.7m two summers ago.

A left winger who can also play on the right, the 24-year-old is already a Netherlands international, winning two caps for his country.

And he has been in sparkling form at times this season.

Danjuma has scored 10 goals and laid on four assists from the flank for Bournemouth this season as they bid to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

The Cherries are currently seventh, one place outside the play-offs.

He has scored in all of the club’s last three Championship games and both the Saints and the Irons are said to be interested in a summer swoop.

It may depend on whether Bournemouth win promotion or not but a move for the Nigeria-born winger would fit David Moyes’ strategy of hoovering up the best talent from the second-tier, following in the footsteps of Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma.
