Report: Hammers eye Brazilian striker

|

Hoffenheim striker Joelinton is the latest striker to be linked with a summer move to the Hammers.

The Bundesliga front man has scored seven times for his club this season and has been scouted by the club with a view to a possible purchase.

In reporting the news Calciomercato claim the unsettled position concerning the Irons strike force  gives the player a chance of moving the the Premier League.

The 23 year old Brazilian can play as an out and out striker but can operate down the right side as a second option if required.

However with a contract in his pocket until 2022 he won’t come cheap with some sources declaring his to be valued at around £30 million by his club.

Unless there is a clause in his contract letting him out more cheaply than that this is one that probably won’t get over the line

In any event the No 1 target for the Hammers this summer remains Maxi Gomez as CandH reported earlier today with director of football Mario Husillos continuing his pursuit of the Celta Vigo hitman.
