West Ham face a major battle to sign midfielder Boubacar Kamara from Marseille.
The Sun reports that the Hammers are keeping a close eye on the 22-year-old ahead of a potential move in the summer.
Kamara’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season but he remains a key member of the French club’s squad.
He has played 22 times in Ligue 1 this season, scoring once, and the report claims that he has held talks over a potential move to the London Stadium.
Newcastle are also said to be interested in a swoop, having held talks with his camp too, while there is said to be interest from Manchester United and Crystal Palace.
A potential deal for the defensive midfielder on a free transfer could be a real bargain and it seems that a number of English clubs have cottoned on to that fact.
If West Ham are going to do a deal, they’ll have to beat off some stiff competition.
