Report: Hammers have eye on World Cup winner

German publication Sport1 claim that West Ham are keeping a close eye on Corentin Tolisso – who joined Bayern Munich for a fee of £35million in 2017 .

With his contract soon expiring, this summer represents the last opportunity Bayern have to bring in some cash for Tolisso, assuming he doesnt sign a new deal.

The 27-year-old joined Bayern four years ago after 160 appearances for Lyon. Things got off to a brilliant start in Germany, before an ACL injury in 2018-19 knocked him off course. He played just four times that season. Since then, he has only managed 52 appearances for Bayern in two seasons.

The ex-Lyon man is desperate to get more regular game time to rediscover his best form.

Tolisso is a central midfielder which would potentially put in in competition with Declan Rice and Tomas Source for a first-team start.

That position is not said to be a priority for David Moyes this summer with Mark Noble, Pablo Fornals and Manuel Lanzini all able to play a deep-lying role when required.

  1. No chance – he’ll be going to a top club. Very good player.

We need to get Milenkovic over the line and then get a striker.
