Report: Hammers have no interest in striker

|

West Ham have no interest in signing Russian international Fedor Smolov, despite recent speculation linking them with a move for the striker claims Ken Dyer in the London Evening Standard

Smolov, who has scored 14 goals in 24 appearances for Russian Premier League side Krasnodar, was reported as being close to signing for West Ham on loan during the January transfer window with a view to a permanent £12million summer move. Krasnodar president Sergei Galitsky has said he is prepared to sell Smolov for the right price but it is understood that the Hammers were never near to agreeing a deal with the 28-year-old striker as claimed and remain unlikely to try and sign the player this summer.
