Report: Hammers in chase for striker

bwoodWest Ham are today reported to be in the chase for for Hamburg’s in-form striker Bobby Wood.

The American has netted nine goals for the Bundesliga strugglers this season and could be available for just £4m this summer should the club be relegated.

However, according to the Liverpool Echo Everton are keen on the striker could be armed with with hefty cash reserves should Romelu Lukaku be sold.

However, Hamburg would only want around £10m – and he’s seen as an option to strengthen West Ham’s struggling forward line.

The 24-year-old has been capped 29 times by the United States and is likely to be involved in the World Cup next summer, should the secure a spot in Russia.
