The Hammers have made a late bid for Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour.
They are trying to persuade him to turn his back on a move to Zenit St Petersburg and instead move to the London Stadium and the Premier League.
However, the Tunisian is reported to have completed a medical with Zenit and appears to have little interest in a move to England.
Valencia are reported ready to get rid of Abdennour with RMC Sport claiming the Spanish side are willing to send him out on loan for two years for free in order to get rid of him.
Valencia have dropped their asking price the €15m price to around 10 million for a permanent move despite the well respected www.transfermarkt.com valuing him at around 5 million.
The 29 year old can play at centre or left back and is under contract to Valencia until 2020.

I consider Valencia to be a club roughly where we are in their respective league. They are desperate to get rid, to the point where they’ll take a financial hit, and we want him…? I don’t get it. We should be after players who are excited and keen to come to us. Younger, faster, hungrier defenders – not rejects.
We should be playing with a 3, with Rice part of that, playing in his natural position alongside Reid and one other. Should’ve been Tonks. Get rid of Fonte to Palace, or swap him for Tonks. Keep Ogbonna for the slower, more physical sides, and Collins for backup until Oxford returns next year. 🙂

I agreed with you up until you said bring back Tonks. Thats a no for me. Rice is quite capable of playing alongside Reid and Ginge but we need another in between their ages. Someone like Smalling would fit perfect.
Have a look at the league table lads, we aren’t the most attractive club in the world atm. I don’t think many top players will be chomping at the bit to sign for us this summer. With the players we have we shouldn’t be playing like this, something is seriously wrong behind the scenes that needs sorting quick

Don’t know much about this defender but we have been in for him before, wasn’t he at Monaco at one point ? The defenders we have got are more than capable of defending well its the manager that needs to get his team defending as a unit and pressing the ball. Get Carvalho in and worry about the rest in January, Carvalho at least will be any future managers cup of tea he would walk into any team and would be first name on the team sheet in ours.
Supposedly he is recondisdering the move with our preformance and Bilic’s position I’m question. Think we need at least Jota since sent Snod on loan to pay part of his wages. New wing cover and Lanzinin cover he adds both and wants move here.

Eh Sully arguably picked the 2 best players on our squad Antonio and Lanzini.
Sully can get it right everyone once in a while tho he shouldn’t be our sporting director. Every move is a risk but seems of late good players come here and we turn them in to non league players or worse Antonio started non league.
