West Ham are interested in signing Liverpool striker Divock Origi according to a report from 90 Min.
The Hammers are claimed have joined the plethora of clubs eyeing Liverpool forward Divock Origi – with the player’s agents ‘working hard’ to seal his Anfield exit this summer.
Origi, despite enjoying some very memorable moments in a Liverpool shirt, is heavily out of favour under manager Jurgen Klopp and now could be the time to leave Merseyside.
It is reported that the Reds now want Ismaila Sarr from Watford and are ready to pay up to £40 million, but could first have to make room by offloading Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri.
Origi – who played a big part in becoming a Premier League and Champions League winner with Liverpool – only featured 17 times for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the 2020/21 campaign, starting on just three occasions.
As well as unnamed clubs abroad, West Ham are interested in the 26-year-old alongside Southampton, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Rangers and Celtic.
Origi would be a good fit, providing the price is right. Inquiries cost nothing (except the wrath of fans) and it is likely Moyes has several strikers he is considering.
I was saddened we didn’t pick up Shaqiri a few years ago. He had a great Euros but can’t put in a full 90 anymore.
I think it’s about time the board came clean with the fans about whether or not we’ve actually got any money to spend at all. After all, they’re quick enough to ask you to part with your money with endless begging letters for season tickets. GSB need to put their hands in their pockets, and maybe we’ll do the same.
they have money to spend – fans decision is theirs
Origi would be a bad buy as he is a championship player at best. Yes he has scored some memorable goals for liverpool but sadly to far and few apart during his time at Anfield.
Haller was bad this guy is worse any valuation over a million is bad money wastage.
Let’s face it liverpool have history of offloading garbage at sky high prices. Solanke and Brewster most recently
THANKS ROB
So the Czech mates mates are off the transfer menu now then?
It does concern not only me about our inactivity in the transfer market.
Crikey we’ve only had 7 months worth of window shopping to target a suitable striker, ok Tammy Ambrahams name keeps cropping up, but how long does it take to decide on new signings.
Seems most other Premier league sides can sort themselves out and Were (seemingly) looking on with our hands in our pockets!₩
