Report: Hammers eye Barcelona striker

Villarreal CF v FC Barcelona - La LigaNo it’s not Neymar or Suarez – the Hammers in fact have been reported as having Barcelona B striker Sandro Ramirez on their radar.

According to Spanish media outlet ‘Sport’ West Ham are interested in the services of Ramirez with sporting director of Barca Robert Fernandez announcing the player has permission to seek a new club.

The twenty year old Barcelona graduate has spent the last two seasons with the Barca first team, making just 17 La Liga appearances. He only scored three goals during 2015-16, a hat trick against Villanovense in the Copa del Rey.

The article says Slaven Bilic has had good scouting reports about the player and, according to the newspaper, they recommended the club make a bid for him.

Ramirez is said to have received an offer from Turkish club Galatasary. Spurs were linked with a £10m bid for the striker in the January transfer window. He is thought to be valued at around 8 million Euros.

  1. Another good player but will probably need a year in the English game first but if he is free or cheap a good buy
