Report: Hammers looking at relegated ace

West Ham are keen to do a deal for Maxwel Cornet after Burnley’s relegation, according to a new report from The Daily Telegraph.

The newspaper reports that the Hammers could look to swoop to sign the winger in the window after the Clarets fell into the Championship.

Cornet scored nine goals despite Burnley’s relegation, and he has a release clause in his contract worth £17.5m.

That has led to interest from other Premier League clubs, including the Irons, according to this report.

Everton are also reported to be showing an interest in signing the winger, and the Hammers are hopeful of strengthening the squad as the transfer window fast approaches.

There is also reportedly interest in signing Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis from Watford, who were also relegated to the Championship.

Moyes is keen to find value in the market this summer as he looks to spend his transfer budget as wisely as possible.
