Report: Hammers make bid for Serie A ace

West Ham have made a bid for Giacomo Raspadori, according to a new report in Italy via HITC.

The 22-year-old is currently under contract with Sassuolo until 2024.

He scored 10 goals in 36 games in Serie A last season and is now wanted by a variety of European clubs.

Newcastle previously saw an offer for Raspadori rejected but the Irons are now said to have tabled an offer, although Sassuolo have rejected it.

Atletico Madrid and AC Milan are also said to be keeping a close eye on developments, with the Italy international impressing throughout last season.

Boss David Moyes is clearly very keen to sign a new striker this summer as he looks to provide competition and support to Mikey Antonio.

Raspadori would seemingly be an expensive acquisition, though, given the sheer amount of heavyweight clubs taking a look at securing his signature. We wouldn’t put all that much stock in this right now.
