West Ham are ready to listen to offers for Javier Hernandez.
The decision has been on the cards for a while and it’s now quite possible the club will be allowing a second front man to walk away in this transfer window.
Diafra Sakho is on his way to Palace assuming all goes well with a medical and this morning Sky Sports News confirmed the widely held view that Hernandez was surplus to requirements when tweeting:
@WestHamUtd will listen to offers for striker Javier Hernandez in this transfer window, according to Sky sources. #SSN
The news is of no serious surprise to most and there was no denial from the club when ClaretandHugh contacted them a few minutes ago.
However, the situation is not cut and dried as it is feasible the Mexican will stay until the end of the season but the truth is he doesn’t fit into manager David Moyes’ system of play.
Should the Hammers receive an offer of between £15m – £20 million, the player will be allowed to leave with Russia’s international skipper and striker Fyodor Smolov now a likely arrival.
its a shame….He is a very talented striker who is used to playing with a better midfield than the ****e he currently has to endure & in a team like Arsenal will thrive….
