Report: Hammers prioritise Slavia Prague striker

|

West Ham United are now prioritising a move for £20 million-rated Slavia Prague hitman Abdallah Sima following Seb Haller’s departure for a similar figure according to a report from the Mirror

West Ham have had great success in the past when signing players from Slavia Prague.

David Moyes has brought Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal to the London Stadium from the Czech giants over the past 12 months.

The Czech Republic international duo have already established themselves as fan favourites in east London and in turn, have recommended Sima to David Moyes.

The 19-year-old has scored 14 goals in 20 games this season, The Senegalese youngster has the potential to go and become one of the best strikers in Europe.

Previously Soucek has been quoted as saying: “The communication from coaches at West Ham is very good. They ask me about the boys from the Czech national team, they ask about the players in Slavia. I exchange a few names that I think would be interesting to West Ham.”

Slavia Prague’s chairman insisted that Abdallah Sima could be available next summer, but not in January but money could talk with a hard bid to consider.

I thought it was the Sparta Prague striker Adam hlozek that souchek recommended, not the Slavia Prague striker? I think the player we all want is hlozek.

I wouldn’t be saying this if we didn’t have 26 points on the board, but if he’s that good I’d go with signing him now and loaning him back until the summer .. Yarmo, Bowen, False 9, youngster if Antonio injured, can’t be much worse than Haller ..

So much speculation without solid facts is horrible . Too many YouTube people and podcasts
Just to earn a little attention and a few bob is lamentable . ( please subscribe ; is thier ultimate cry ) They are never right and if it turns out right for them they say I told you so !!! . Have been watching a load of YouTube stuff and I find it really annoying . You can half believe some of it and at the same time disbelieve it . It’s as if they know more about football than the people who are actually professional at it .
Anyway , it would be nice to get a few players into the squad during this winter window and preferably a Big , Fast & Hungry Striker ; whoever that may be . Most options would be an improvement on Haller which is indisputable . There is talk of a false nine !! . A false 9 in my opinion is a fallacy , it’s just a formation tactic and nothing else .
I really don’t like the January window but with Haller gone we find ourselves in a bit of a bind and need something . Can’t for a minute believe we would let a 45million player go for 20million without some kind of back up signing ,,, it just wouldn’t make an ounce of sense .
I think we can expect a new striker at the LS for the second half of this season .
Having said that let’s see what could materialize from our younger players . It really does all start tomorrow in the FA Cup and if we want to win something and get into gear again .

If money should talk then he is not gonna join us. Thanks to David Sullivan.

Hlozek I don’t think would get a work permit at the moment under the new rules. Injury has limited his appearances this season and even though he has a couple of caps for the Czech national team their FIFA ranking diminishes the points that can be gained here.

Sima I believe would get a work permit. Even though he has no international caps (Which would help as Senegal are in the top 20 FIFA rankings) he benefits from Slavia being domestic champions and their progression in the Europa League which both provide additional points.
