Report: Hammers servant gets new deal

Angelo Ogbonna appears to be well on his way towards – or already has – signed a new Hammers one year contract.

The 34 year old was sorely missed for most of the season after breaking down against Liverpool last November.

Now he has  all but recovered and it seems the club are set to confirm their promise of a new deal for the central defender.

And ExWHUemployee believes the deal has already done after the club named its list of departures and the left sided defender wasn’t among them.

Ryan Fredericks and Andriy Yarmolenko were among those named but Oggy looks ready to give us another season at least after serving us so well for the last seven years.

He has currently played over 170 games for the club which would have been more but for being seemingly unfancied at times under previous managers.

Speaking on his West Ham Way podcast Ex said: “There’s been talk that Ogbonna and Fabianski are still in contract negotiations. But as far as I’m aware, both of those players have signed deals now.”
