Report: Hammers suffer slow Chelsea uptake

|

stadiumWEST HAM are reported to be suffering slow tickt sales for their EFL Cup clash with Chelsea.

The Sun claims fans have turned their backs on the match despite a pricing policy which has made tickets available for as little as £20 for adults and £10 for children.

But the ‘paper claims that over 10,000 seats remain unsold for a game which many feel is the first real test of security and stewarding at the Stratford ground.

Chelses have received 5,200 tickets for the match, 500 less than the usual allocation of 10 per cent for away teams, to ensure adequate segregation is in place for the night match.

The paper claims thousands are available following season ticket holders getting first refusal and Claret members havbing taken up their option.

There remain ten days before the match, and despite the slow initial uptake the club are reported as being  comfortable at the level of sales.

And given that 40,000 turned out for the Accrington Stanley match it’s likely there will be a late surge in sales.

Ive been trying to buy a ticket and the dogpoo new system wont let me as I dont have the correct privileges. Apparently this is due to me not buying any previous gam tickets. Ive tried for every game this season and keep getting the same message. So if the system doesnt let me buy my first ticket how on earth can i get the privileges to buy further tickets. Its almost like they want to lose fans this new system is effin terrible. Can anyone advise??

You need to have bought a ticket in the last 5 years apparently… I had trouble getting a mate a ticket for it also. If you get a claret membership and go in the ballot you should get tickets for home games, if not call them imo.

Yeah you needed ticket history. They are trying to stop Chelski fans getting their hands on them.
