Liverpool are set to listen to offers for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer, according to The Athletic.
The outlet has confirmed that the Reds are willing to allow the former England international to move on in the summer transfer window as Jurgen Klopp bids to reshape his squad.
Liverpool, of course, finished second in the Premier League and were runners-up in the Champions League, but they won both the FA Cup and the League Cup.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been linked with a potential move to the Hammers, as David Moyes looks to bring in some more depth to his squad.
He made 29 appearances in all competitions last season but just 17 of those were starts, so he has remained on the fringes at Anfield.
It remains to be seen if the Hammers make an offer but we are in need of midfield reinforcements, with both Mark Noble and Alex Kral leaving the London Stadium.
High wage sick note – we’ve had our fill of those thanks
……. and doesn’t fit the “young and hungry” category that Moyes supposedly wants. Would prefer to see West Ham give Coventry or one of the Under 23s a chance than this bench-warmer.
Another Jack Wilshere ?
I hope we go nowhere near him. Has never hit the heights people expected of him and is very very injury prone… we must avoid at all costs
Exactly the type of player we should NOT be buying! Too old, too injury prone and too expensive! Let’s move on and find some young, hungry players.
