The whole ‘Tottenham and West Ham grudge rematch‘ saga is about to lift-off again according to reports this afternoon.
Having left West Ham fans feeling bruised battered and seething after the revelation that one of their top players Mohammed Kudus had been sold to arch enemy Spurs for ‘just’ the £55 million, you’d expect another round of the two clubs facing-off over a player transfer to be the spark that rekindles the animosity.
eEpecially after Mohammed Kudus’ ill judged and inflammatory remarks: It would seem quite likely that West Ham fans are on a short fuse just now.
News comes from Spurs fan site tothelaneandback.com that the likely tug of war between two local rivals is likely over one highly controversial footballer:
“Tottenham Hotspur could be set to make one of the most unexpected deals of the ongoing summer transfer window as fresh links emerge for the North Londoners to land Manchester City star Jack Grealish on a loan move.”
West Ham of course have been linked all week with the Manchester City midfielder, however much we’d like to bury our heads in the sand and ignore the rumour.
At £300,000 a week the Irons would need a huge subsidy from Grealish’s parent club Manchester City just to land him on loan: A permanent deal would be absolutely beyond West Ham’s reach.
So- I’m not sure about the West Ham fanbase but I was mighty relieved to read the report suggesting that West Ham may ‘lose out’ and a Jack Grealish loan to north London rivals Spurs is being tipped to proceed. Let the Spuds pick up his wage bill and try and combine Grealish and Kudus into the same starting eleven. Tottenham, you are welcome to them both. A crazy venture just distracting from West Ham’s real recruitment issues. Somebody needs to get back on message and bring in some players that the Hammers can actually afford.
Jack Grealish is the most overrated and overhyped player in the Premier League. We should avoid him like the plague.

Whether we want him or not he’s not going to choose us over the spuds.
If City end up subsidising his wages to get him out on loan, then he could be a decent signing. But you would think he’d choose Spurs over us, given that they can offer Champions League football. Do they need him having just signed Kudus? Doubtful.
I dont understand, if we’re not interested in him then why would we nbr bothered??
I think a loan deal would make a lot of sense for both parties. A try before you buy kind of deal to see if he fits the bill.
