Report: Hammers want £25m striker

|

West Ham are interested in a deal to sign Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo this summer, according to The Sun.

The newspaper claims that there is interest in doing a deal for the 23-year-old as David Moyes bids to bring in support for Mikey Antonio.

Scamacca has scored 16 goals in 35 games in Serie A this season, and his form this season has even seen him win his first cap for Italy.

AC Milan and city rivals Inter are both interested in signing Scamacca, and he would cost around £25m at the end of the campaign.

Interest from elsewhere could well drive that price up, however, and the Irons are said to be ready to look elsewhere if that is the case.

Andrea Belotti remains an attractive option, as his contract at Torino is set to expire and he will be available on a free transfer.

Again, there will be a great deal of interest in signing the Italy international.
