West Ham are reported as being interested in FC Copenhagen striker Jonas Wind ahead of the January transfer window.
The Hammers did not manage to bring a new striker into the club in the summer, with Mikey Antonio still the only out-and-out striker in the squad.
And a new report from Jeunes Footeux reports that the Hammers are now considering a potential swoop for Wind, who has been with Copenhagen since 2018.
He has scored a total of 43 goals in 104 games for the club and has netted four times in 10 games in the league this season, while also laying on three assists.
Newcastle are also said to be interested in a swoop for Wind, and Copenhagen are said to have set his price at around £17m.
With Wind only being 22, and having scored a fair few goals in his career already, there’s a fair chance that the interest might well be real; this is one to keep an eye on, although Newcastle obviously now have the spending power to gazump the Irons should they wish.
