Report: Hammers want striker

West Ham are being linked with another striker before the end of the transfer window.

A report in France has claimed that there is interest in a deal to sign Bamba Dieng from Marseille before next week’s deadline.

Marseille are ready to cash in on the striker, who would move for around €10m (£8.3m), and he has been in decent form for the Ligue 1 club this season.

The 21-year-old is currently away on international duty with Senegal at the African Cup of Nations, while he has scored four goals in the French top-flight, in 14 games, while also registering one assist.

The Irons are said to have made an enquiry about his availability as the window draws to a close, along with Crystal Palace.

And there is also said to be interest from Newcastle and Burnley as Premier League clubs look to raid the French club across the next seven days.

At this point, this might have something in it because of the fee involved, and we know how interested David Moyes is in bringing a new centre-forward into the club.Moderate Rater
