Report: Huge new Paqueta bid

West Ham have tabled a new bid for Lucas Paqueta, a French report has claimed.

The Hammers are keen on doing a deal to sign the Lyon star, who has become a key target for boss David Moyes.

L’Equipe now claims that the first bid was rejected and that a new offer has been tabled.

The deal is said to be worth €57m, which equates to £48.1m, although Lyon are not said to have replied at this point.

Lyon are said to want closer to €60m, which is £50.6m, so the distance between the two clubs really isn’t that big.

As a result, L’Equipe claims that a deal could be done quickly, with the Irons aiming to sign him before the end of next week and the transfer deadline.

Paqueta is not said to have spoken with the Irons as yet so personal terms will have to be agreed for the deal to be completed.
