West Ham and Arsenal are both eyeing a potential swoop for Lille midfielder Amadou Onana, according to a new report.
The Hammers are certainly in the market for a new midfielder this summer, with the club needing to replace Mark Noble, while Alex Kral is also leaving.
It leaves a hole in the centre of the pitch for the Irons and a new report claims that the club could launch a swoop for the Ligue 1 ace.
Foot Mercato reports that both the Hammers and Arsenal have watched Onana throughout the season, and he could be available.
Lille only paid around £6m to sign Onana from Hamburg last summer and he has gone on to become a key member of the squad, making 42 appearances in all competitions.
A Belgium Under-21 international, the 20-year-old plays primarily as a defensive midfielder and Lille are said to see an opportunity to make a big profit on their investment.
Lille are said to be in need of funds, so Onana is seen as the kind of player who could be moved on this summer.
