Report: Irons close in on midfielder

Achraf+Lazaar+Citta+di+Palermo+Unveils+New+dAxBMt0I_X3lThe Irons are reportedly leading the chase for Palermo’s Achraf Lazaar.

The  Morocco international is valued at £2.5million and the Hammers are believed to be closing in on a deal.

The 24 year old has been linked with Monaco but is keen to continue his career in London and the Hammers like the versatile left-sided player, who has been at Palermo for two years.

RR ModerateWest Ham boss Slaven Bilic said earlier in August the club were keen to bring in five players before the deadline and is keen on Lazaar at the price.

Lazaar’s arrival would be the third since those comments after both Andre Ayew and Arthur Masuaku arrived at the club in recent days.

  1. But surely he said later that the 5 were not meant to mean 5 new players just 5 to come in be they bought or simply unavailable.

  2. I thought that this guy was a left back ? It is a central midfield playmaker we need and a striker and or a high quality right back. Most of our midfielders are athletic but other than Payet are not consistent in their ability to make key passes and control the tempo of matches, Lanzini has promise but he is not the finished article. What the Chelsea game showed us is that we need players with vision and guile in central midfield to complement the athleticism of Kouyate and Noble we need a Cazorla type player that can open doors but we also need players to provide better options to their midfield colleagues.

  3. Cheap left back we will have the coming out of our ears soon,
Is Cressi worse then we are being told,
But then he could be a left winger we only have 3 of them,
    We need a right back
    We need a right CH
Ops forgot we have them Burke,Byram,Oxford but we don’t play them we are saving them until they are 30
Maybe we should give Valencia ago at right back he can’t be any worse and he is crap up front,or Noble could make a good right back he is to slow for midfield,
We have Payet,Lanzini,Cullen, that can play like Cazorla
We need Bony to cover Calleri if he works out

  4. Is he a midfielder – according to other reports he is a left back, which makes more sense given that Mas is cup-tied in Erurope?

    • Masuaku is only cup tied for the Europa qualifying match against Astra if we qualify for the group stage he is eligible. Masuaku can also play left wing but from what I have read this guy is a promising left back.

  5. We don’t know our left from our right RIGHT BACK Wanted Urgent

  6. Either way we two more players to cover both full back positions, any more injuries there and we’re f***ed

  7. Everyone bangs on about destroying Antonios confidence, but what do you all do to Byrams by keep harping on for a new RB. He will be quality given a fair crack in his natural position.
