Report: Irons eye Juve star

|

West Ham may be joined by Aston Villa in the race to sign Juventus star Weston McKennie.

That’s according to The Sun who claim that both ourselves and Spurs have been scouting the midfield star and he is one t that head of recruitment Rob Newman may be looking at.

Juventus and USA star Weston McKennie is wanted by Aston Villa

In reality it seems a strange shout given the strength of the Hammers in midfield where Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice rule the roost backed up by Alex Kral,  Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen .

According to The Sun however, we are weighing up a bid for the player with Juve apparently wanting around £25 million for their 23 year old.

Villa are now understood to be interested and according to the report, Juve could be open to bids in the winter window although it seems certain that our eyes will be fixed on strikers and a left back for starters.

A loan deal could perhaps be a possibility but there can be no question that  Newman has arrived at West Ham from Manchester City with his own players very much on his mind anyway.

Rice is going to be sold either in January or next summer and they are trying to get a replacement in before then, that way the club won’t get charged an over inflated price by the seller when they know west ham has got a large transfer fee sitting in it’s bank account.
