Report: Irons eyeing Euro 2020 winner

West Ham are said to be eyeing a move for Italy’s Euro 2020 winner Domenico Berardi this summer, according to a new report.

Alfredo Pedulla reports that there is plenty of interest from a number of European clubs in snapping up the winger.

Berardi made six appearances at Euro 2020, laying on two assists, and he played 65 minutes in the final against England as Italy won on penalties.

The Sassuolo attacker is also said to be wanted by Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund, following his exceptional performances.

The 26-year-old plays primarily as a right winger and was excellent last season too, making 30 appearances in Serie A and scoring 17 goals, while registering eight assists.

He has a contract until 2024 and has been with Sassuolo since 2015, making 291 appearances and scoring 105 goals in total, while also laying on 67 assists.

It remains to be seen whether big bids will be tabled this summer but it make take big money, given that he is valued at £31.5m by Transfermarkt.
