Report: Irons eyeing former Gunners defender

AUT_vs._SUI_2015-11-17_(240)West Ham are reportedly interested in former Arsenal defender Johan Djourou whose contract at Hamburg expires at the end of the season.

The Swiss central defender was once a starting figure for the Gunners but his career has gone downhill since.

Djourou’s current side Hamburg are in a relegation battle at the bottom of the Bundesliga, with a possible play off needed.

This speaks volumes when the German side are willing to let the players contract run down.

Djourou spent 10 years in North London during which time he was loaned out to Birmingham City when the Davids were in charge at St Andrew’s.

  1. Lol… actually laughing to myself if we end up signing him… he is dreadful

  2. Nearly as laughable as the link to Sagna. Did anyone see him play for City at the weekend – thanks but a big no thanks

  3. What’s the next link? Radsy Radsychoi from the 2nd division Ecuadorean side Claratus and Hughious 😂😂😂

  4. Ok you’ve had your fun now stop it 😂😂😂

  5. There is a reason Hamburg are in a relegation fight, I have watched him a few times and he has made numerous defensive clangers as have his team mates.

    • If we sign him maybe Slav thinks a double negative = a positive he is a smart fellow is Slav but the Djourou’s out on this guy no thanks.

  6. seriously don’t want this . He was CB in the very years that Arsenal won nothing. The reason being they could not spend money on top players because all there income was going on their new stadium build.

  7. Why do we want this abject failure …… that’s right its for free !!!!!!
Sullivan and Gold like playing the game but when it comes to spending money they are not interested . They must invest or sell . We are constantly in limbo with these two morons at the helm .

  8. Oh blimey, this can’t be true – he’s hopeless!

    • …. oh hold on – free you say – you’re speaking the ‘Brains Trust’s’ language!

      Still hopeless though!

  9. Media bull****…its hardly worth taking seriously or getting knickers in a twist over.

  10. Sounds like a Sullivan signing all day long to me! We really are a joke club with those attention seeking tight wads. Free transfers ruined this season and their constant public comments about Bilic, the team, transfers, even Brady slating other clubs or our players is testament to their lack of class. If only the money outlayed was as big as their mouths.

  11. I don’t remember him at all
