Report: Irons eyeing giant ace

West Ham are eyeing a swoop to sign Dan-Axel Zagadou this summer, according to The Sun.

The centre-back left Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season after enduring an injury-hit spell with the German giants.

The 6ft 5in defender made 91 appearances in total for the Bundesliga side and is a former France U21 international with eight caps under his belt.

Zagadou is said to be in talks with a number of clubs, including Italian sides Roma and Inter Milan, but boss David Moyes is said to be eyeing a swoop as well.

The Scot is said to see the big defender as an ideal squad option, especially in the wake of Nayef Aguerd’s injury, and there being speculation over Issa Diop’s future, as he continues to be linked with newly-promoted Fulham.

Zagadou was also previously on the books at PSG but never made a first-team appearance for the French club.
