Report: Irons fancy Italian midfielder

adam-masina-bolognaWest Ham are this morning being linked with yet another foreign midfielder, this time in the shape of left back Adam Masina.

The speculation over Bologna’s Italian under 21 defender comes despite David Moyes making it clear on several occasions that he wants to recruit proven Premier League players in the current transfer window.

The same reports add that we remain interested in Inter Milan’s midfielder and Portugal international Joao Mario as the search for players continues in Moyes’ priority position.

Masna – according to the reports – has caught the Hammers’ eye this season although Bologna head coach Roberto Donadoni remains insistent he will not sell his best players

The left back has made 19 appearances this season, playing most of each match.

Whilst it comes as no surprise to learn that Aaron Cresswell’s position may be coming under scrutiny Moyes modus operandi is far more likely to be for British based players  as he has suggested in the past.
