According to leading European transfer window guru Nicholo Schira, numerous  clubs are interested in defender Nikola Maksimovic.

He claims West Ham have made contact with his agent Fali Ramadani and Everton are also said to be on the case.

The Serbian central defender is set to leave Napoli at the end of the season.

The Hammers have requested more information from Ramadami and could possibly put in a bid during the summer window.

He is however 29 years old and David Moyes is more interested in signing younger players.

He has only started in 11 league games this season for Napoli.

At this point in his career, at 29 years old, he needs to be playing way more regularly than currently.

He will be leaving Napoli on a free transfer deal, and West Ham signing him could be a steal even bearing in mind his age perhaps.
