Report: Irons in battle with Brighton and Spurs

|

West Ham are battling both Brighton and Spurs to sign Davide Frattesi ahead of the January transfer window, according to a new report.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that the 23-year-old is at the centre of a tug-of-war between the three Premier League clubs.

Both Spurs and Brighton are said to hold an interest in snapping up the midfielder, who can operate in the centre and as a No.10.

An Italy international with four caps, Frattesi could have the chance to make the move to England sooner rather than later.

The Hammers bought Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo in the summer so there is an existing relationship there between the two clubs.

And it now appears that a second deal could be done in the next transfer window as David Moyes is continuing to target midfield reinforcements.

Frattesi has a contract with Sassuolo until 2026 and is valued at £18m by Transfermarkt, but it remains to be seen if such a fee would convince the Serie A side to do business.
