Report: Irons linked with goalkeeper

West Ham have been linked with a swoop to sign Fiorentina goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski in this transfer window by Viola News in Italy.

The club have two solid goalkeepers in the squad at this point, with Lukasz Fabianski the number one and loanee Alphonse Areola the No.2.

Dragowski has a contract that expires in 2023, meaning that he could well be available for a knockdown fee either this month or in the summer.

West Ham are said to have a real interest in signing the stopper, in a deal that doesn’t seem to make all that much sense at this point.

It would be understandable if the club intend to let Areola go back to PSG instead of staying in east London, but all signs seem to point towards David Moyes being happy with the Frenchman.

Areola even made his league debut at the weekend, playing against Manchester United at Old Trafford after Fabianski was taken ill.

We’re not putting too much stock in this one.
