Report: Irons linked with international striker

West Ham have been linked with a swoop to sign Christian Kouame from Fiorentina this summer.

A new report in Italy from Corriere dello Sport claims that the club are interested in a swoop to sign the Ivory Coast international after he impressed on loan at Anderlecht last season.

Kouame scored 13 goals and laid on 10 assists in 36 games, and has won 10 caps for his country.

However, he is now set to return to Fiorentina this summer, and there are a number of clubs lining up to potentially sign the 24-year-old.

Per the report, there is interest from the Hammers, as well as Atalanta and Club Brugge.

Kouame is also capable of playing on the wing, on either side, so his versatility may appeal to David Moyes as he looks to strengthen the squad this summer.

Moyes is desperate to reinforce his frontline this summer and has also been heavily linked with a potential swoop to sign Emmanuel Dennis from Watford, so we can see this having a kernel of truth, provided the fee is right.
