Report: Irons linked with red-hot ace

West Ham have been linked with a swoop to sign Blackburn striker Ben Brereton Diaz.

Reports in Spain have suggested that there is interest in bringing the Chile international into the club, as he has enjoyed a sensational season in the Championship.

Brereton Diaz has scored 20 goals in 32 games for Blackburn this season, with the club attempting to win promotion from the second-tier.

They are currently sixth in the table but have been enduring a major dip in form, winning just one of their last five games.

The Sun cites the Spanish reports, claiming that there is plenty of interest in securing his signature.

Along with the Hammers, Brighton, Crystal Palace and Everton are all said to be monitoring the 22-year-old, while there is also interest from Leeds and La Liga club Sevilla.

It seems likely there is going to be a real race to secure his signature when the season is over, especially if Blackburn don’t win promotion to the Premier League.
