Report: Irons linked with Wolves man

West Ham have been linked with a potential deadline day swoop for Leander Dendoncker at Wolves.

The London Evening Standard reports that the Hammers are already in talks with their Premier League rivals over a potential deal to sell Craig Dawson.

As a result, a potential bid for Dendoncker is being mooted, as he has slipped down the pecking order at Molineux.

They have signed Matheus Nunes from Sporting Lisbon this summer and the Belgium international is said to be keen to move in order to play regular first-team football.

He wants to play for Belgium at the World Cup, although the midfielder would need to impress in order to dislodge Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek.

Boss David Moyes is said to be a fan of Dendoncker and he actually tried to sign the player when he first took over at West Ham.

Time is running out, though, and there may not be enough time to seal a deal.
