Report: Irons make firm offer

West Ham have made a firm offer to sign Adnan Januzaj as he prepares to enter free agency, per a new report in Spain.

Diario de Sevilla reports that the Irons have made an offer to sign the forward, who is well known to boss David Moyes.

Moyes worked with Januzaj at both Manchester United and Sunderland and he is capable of playing on both flanks as well as in attacking midfield.

He is set to leave Sociedad at the end of the month, when his contract expires, and there is said to be interest from a variety of clubs.

Fellow Spanish outfit Real Betis are said to be monitoring developments with Januzaj, as are Serie A side Napoli.

But the Hammers are also reported to be following the Belgium international and have made a firm offer to take him to east London.

Januzaj has made 60 appearances under Moyes in total, scoring five goals and registering nine assists in that time.

  1. Oh no! After hearing in Claret & Hugh that Aguerd at £35m is likely to be Moyes “Marquee signing”we now have this totally underwhelming piece of potential transfer business. This is hardly going to get the rest of the Premiership quaking in its boots or brighten the mood of most West Ham supporters. He may be on a “free” but his stats are decidedly average.

  2. So moyes worked with him at manure was sacked eh and Sunderland was sacked there too certainly knows who to pick eh plus vlasic which was at his old club Everton. Yep in moyes we trust lol plus spuds taking bousouma who Dec rated and a top coach conte takes him for 25mill after moyes said no .

  3. He is not a forward as you have stated. He plays in midfield or as an attacking winger.
He’s played 213 games and only scored 20 goals.

  4. If this is Moyes idea of improving the squad, then we are in for another woefull transfer window 😱

  5. A nothing player. Does not surge forward, not a goalscorer, not a DCM, journeyman looking for s payday.

  6. Really is this ambition , he’s useless !

  7. Calm down, it’s not true.

  8. Awful player. Would be Gokhan Tore levels of terrible if Moyes signs him.

What’s really, really worrying is that Moyes, having managed Januzaj twice, STILL thinks he’s a player worth signing.

I genuinely fear, that if left to his own devices in the transfer market this summer, David Moyes will turn a top 7 squad into a bottom 6 one.
