Report: Irons offer £6m for Everton star

Barclays-Asia-TrophyWest Ham have reportedly had a £6 million bid for Kevin Miralles turned down with Everton looking for £8 million.

The Irons are locked into a battle with Spurs for the player and have apparently upped their interest since Manchester United put an immediate block on Javier Hernandez leaving Old Traford.

A report in the Sunday People claims that Spurs had hoped to use Aaron Lennon in any swap deal but that Slaven Bilic wants to press ahead with a straight cash deal and that the club has made the Toffees an offer.

Mirallas has just one year left on his deal and has fallen out of favour with boss Roberto Martinez.

  1. I thought we were making a forward our priority, why are we ****ing about with wingers when we’ve got amalfitano, Jarvis, payet, Valencia and maybe soon to be Lanzini?!
Need a someone to score goals we’ve got the play makers

  2. Because Jarvis is terrible, Amalfitano is inconsistent, Valencia is one of our few striking options and Payet will almost certainly play as a number 10.

Would agree that we need to sort out another goal scorer but we also need better quality going forward and someone like Mirallas would definitely provide that plus he has always scored half a dozen or more a season in the prem so win-win.

  3. Steady Essex I think we are after both,
Jarvis won’t stay,Alfitano will only be on the bench that leaves us with Payet and Valencia
Can’t see where you think we have plenty of playmakers,
We are dependent on Payet and Zarate they have the only bit of class
Jarvis,Alfitano,Noble,Nolan could not be called playmakers,

  4. Come on lets make this happen, with downing gone we could really do with Mirallas

  5. Can’t see him wanting to make the step down myself. He has ambition, when was the last time West Ham finished in the top 6? Too low an offer, too.

    File under: fiction.
