Report: Irons plot £20m bid for relegated ace

West Ham are lining up a £20m bid for Watford star Emmanuel Dennis this summer, according to a new report from The Daily Mail.

They claim that the Hammers have been impressed with the Nigeria international’s performances this term and are now considering launching a move to sign him.

Dennis plays primarily as a striker but is also capable of playing on either flank and has scored 10 goals, while providing six assists, in a very poor Hornets side.

Watford go into the final day knowing that they are relegated, having taken just 23 points from 37 games. They are 12 points behind 17th-placed Leeds.

Dennis was signed for just £3m last summer and he has a clause in his contract meaning he will have to take a serious pay cut if he is to stay with Watford in the Championship.

As a result, a move could be in the offing and the Hammers are interested in exploring a swoop for the 24-year-old.
