Report: Irons still chasing ace despite striker enquiry

|

West Ham are still interested in doing a deal to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja despite making an enquiry for Gianluca Scamacca at Sassuolo, according to the Daily Mail.

We have reported this week that the Hammers have confirmed their interest in the Serie A star, and are hoping to do a deal to bring him into the club.

But the Mail reports that there is also interest in Albania international Broja, who is also attracting interest from Everton and Newcastle.

Chelsea have yet to make their mind up on his future after he spent last season on loan at Southampton, and the Irons are said to remain firmly in the hunt.

That makes total sense, as we know that Broja is currently David Moyes’ top target, and it may well be that Scamacca is seen as a back-up in case a deal for the 20-year-old cannot be struck this summer.
