Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson is this morning being reported as a target for the Irons.
The Sun says that Sam Allardyce is a big fan of the Arsenal right-back and wants the £5 million rated defender.
Reporter Andrew Dillon – a Hammers fan – writes that the 22 year old defender will almost certainly be out of the Emirates picture with £11m France right-back Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle having arrived.
And he claims that has prompted Big Sam to move for the Essex boy Jenko.
He claims that Swansea and Sunderland also fancy Jenkinson but that the chance of staying in London could be the key.
The report adds that Current West Ham right-back Guy Demel, 33, is a target for newly-promoted Leicester.
