Darren Randolph’s return to West Ham is being reported as no being all wrapped up at a fee of around £4 million – £1million less than Middlesbrough paid on signing him. .

Having agreed the move for our former No 2 David Moyes will see the Ireland keeper return to the club over the next few days.

The Hammers have been chasing the Middlesbrough keeper for several weeks and have finally succeeded in agreeing a fee of £4m million for the 32 year old.

He became a big favourite at the Riverside but was determined to ensure the move back to London and West Ham after the disastrous Roberto signing by Manuel Pellegrini and Mario Husillos.

According to the Guardian, he is now all set to return as cover for Lukasz Fabianski.

The stopper has been recovering from a thigh injury and is expected to be out for another fortnight but that was of no concern in negotiations and Roberto ,33, will now go on the transfer list with David Martin returning to his No 3 role at the club.

It will be the first business of the winter window for the Hammers with David Moyes now looking to tie up a deal for Gedson Fernandez in a deal being led by Unique Sports Management – an agency much used by the Hammers.
