Report: Irons want free agent

|

West Ham are interested in a deal to sign Boubacar Kamara on a free transfer from Marseille this summer, according to a new report.

Italian outlet Calciomercato reports that the Hammers are eyeing a swoop to bring the Frenchman into the club as he prepares to enter free agency.

Kamara is only 22 and is a France U21 international, while he has remained a key man for Marseille this season, playing 47 times in all competitions.

He also has a great deal of versatility, as he is able to play in defensive midfield, central midfield, centre-back, and even on the right of midfield.

The Sun reported earlier this week that there is also interest from Aston Villa as Steven Gerrard aims to beef up his midfield.

Newcastle have also been linked, as have Manchester United, so the Hammers will face some serious competition to bring Kamara into the London Stadium in the summer transfer window.
