Report: Manchester United to offer £20m deal to Jesse

|

Jesse Lingard is to be offered a new three-year deal by Manchester United according to a new report by the Daily Star

The 28-year-old has one year to run on his existing contract with the Red Devils but the report claims the Manchester club will offer him a  new deal.

Manchester United are said to value their attacking midfielder at £25million.

His parent club has further complicated that situation by putting a new improved contract on the table said to be worth £130,000-a-week over the next three seasons. That could be worth a whooping £20m to the attacking midfielder over the next three years if true.

There will also be an option for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men to trigger another year on the England international’s deal the tabloid claims.

Lingard is currently holidaying on the Greek island of Mykonos but is due to report back for pre-season testing and training next week in Manchester.

His loan deal with West Ham officially finishes on Wednesday at the end of June.

Last week Lingard told Sky Sports that playing football was his number one priority next season.

Time will tell whether he sticks by those words or whether money talks.

West Ham would likely find a £25m transfer fee and £130,000 per week too rich for their blood.

ManU are going to pay him not to play? I would love to be paid not to work, but it won’t happen.

I’m guessing he’ll have to quarantine for 10 days when he gets back then? Like the rest of us!! 🤨

As a Manchester United fan I can not understand the clubs thinking on this. Yes he was great for West Ham during his loan spell but clubs play differently against Man It’s than they do against the hammers. Jesse needs to play every week to get his career and his England chances back on track. He will not get that playing time at United. I do hope he rejects United’s offer and West Ham can come to some arrangement.

Agree hope he comes to West Ham as he wont get much game time at manu.however if he goes for any new deal there to try and push price up – manu not lingard Suggest no way will west ham pay over odds and that will be end of interest. Other clubs wont pay over top either. He has a very important decision to make.

Jesse Lingard must be mad to sign another deal with man utd, he will get less game play with them, he should leave A.S.A.P,
HE IS STILL YOUNG AND HAS A LOT OF TALENT TO GIVE TO A CLUB THAT TREATS HIM RIGHT,
where man utd will just piss him off
