West Ham are unlikely to be able to seal a deal to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea this month.
Southampton have taken the striker on loan from the Blues and he has impressed during his time at St Mary’s.
He has made 18 appearances for the club and has scored five goals during his time at the club.
Saints are said to be interested in striking a permanent deal for the Albania international, with The Guardian reporting that they have held talks with Chelsea over a transfer.
Reports early on Monday suggested that the Hammers could look to muscle their way into any deal but Alex Crook, the talkSPORT reporter, claims that Southampton are unconcerned about such a suggestion.
They believe that Broja is committed to the club until the end of the season, when there could be something of a rush to secure his signature.
Broja has only ever played once at senior level for Chelsea, and we can see Crook’s report having plenty of truth in it; it doesn’t really make sense for Chelsea to let him leave this month when a bidding war could benefit them in the summer.
