Report: Moyes had Snodgrass on January wanted list

Robert-Snodgrass-822836WEST Ham boss David Moyes is today reported to have wanted Robert Snodgrass back from his Aston Villa loan deal to plus his problems down the right flank.

The Mirror reported that after assessing his resources at West Ham he was keen to bring the 30 year old back to the London Stadium.

But as reported earlier on ClaretandHugh there is no break clause in the agreement following Villa having paid out a loan fee believed to be in the region of £2 million.

We had revealed that Moyes  is determined to bring the Scot back to the club for pre-season before deciding whether he wanted to keep him on the squad.

Snodgrass’ relationship with the Irons may have been soured by remarks from Hammers co-owner David Sullivan questioning his £10.2m signing from Hull last January.

He was reported as saying his to sons begged him not to buy Snodgrass, but had backed previous boss Slaven Bilic who was keen on the winger.

The Hammers boss has admitted he is ‘overloaded’ with left sided but has only injured Michail Antonio as a naturally right sided attacking player.

Snodgrass has been in outstanding form for the midlands outfit and should they be promoted he will be very much on their wanted list with his series of fine performances enhancing his value.
