Report: Moyes might go BACK for striker

David Moyes might go back in for Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri this summer.

The Daily Mirror reports that the centre-forward is again wanted by the Hammers boss after a bid was tabled for him in January of last year.

He was also a target last summer, with Sevilla wanting £40m to countenance his sale.

En-Nesyri now has a contract that runs until 2025 but he struggled for form last season, managing to score just five league goals.

That is a significant drop from his form in the 2020/21 season, when he managed to score 18 times in the top-flight in Spain.

As a result, Sevilla are said to be willing to cash in and he is currently valued at £22.5m by Transfermarkt.

It remains to be seen if Moyes will firm up the interest with a formal bid but we have read this time and time again, with the Morocco international becoming something of a white whale for the Hammers boss.

  1. I would really hope that Moyes/Newman know exactly who they are in for and be under weigh by now

  2. He was rubbish against West Ham in the Europa league wasn’t he?
