Report: Palace agree fee for Irons target

|

Michy-Batshuayi-612149Crystal Palace are tonight being reported as having agreed a €38m (£31.6m) fee with Marseilles for striker Michy Batshuayi.

The Belgian international striker has been the subject of two bids so far in this transfer window from Palace and the Irons.

West Ham were reported to have submitted a €40m bid at the start of May, but this was later denied by Bilic. The Hammers remain hopeful of signing him, while Juventus have also made a bid in excess of €30m for the player who scored 17 goals in Ligue 1 last season.

However, according to The Guardian Palace’s co-owner Steve Parish may have stolen a march on his rivals for Batshuayi’s signature after making the offer directly to Marseille president Vincent Labrune.

It is understood that the deal includes a significant bonus payment and sell-on clause, with his former club Standard Liège due 35% of any sale due to a the existence of a previous clause.

However, there is stil a way to go with the Irons and Juventus possibly ready to move in again and of course the player has to agree to personal terms with richer clubs than Palace still in the race.

Knew this would happen. The 2 daves thought they could hang it out til marseille get desperate to sell him and nick a bargain, and someone has come and swiped him from under our noses. Im desperately hoping we will put a massive bid in for Lacazette and Payet gets right in his shell like and convinces him to come.

If Batshuayi doesn’t want to go to Palace not much OM can do about it, in some ways may force other clubs hands, I am not a big fan of him and whether to one club or another will be good when he is finally sold.

Best advice for Slav is don’t sell a single striker until you have a replacement locked up tighter than a drum. They might be the best we are going to get, and keep going after good attacking midfielders as you did last year, again one might prove to be the best striker? We are going to get

Thought he was only interested in the Spuds because he wanted European football now we are to believe he wants to be in a relegation battle each year,
Don’t believe a word of it,
Just hope we turn to a English young manager like Howe,

Just get Wilson and stop making advances to these foreign prima donna’s. There are not going to be any bargains for the two Dave’s in Europe.

Just did a search on the Place official website = “No results found for ‘Michy Batshuayi'”

If it is true and we don’t get Lacazette either !! – then we could do a lot worse than hang on to Sako & Valencia ?

Now we have to win back there hearts after more or less telling them they are not wanted
Sak had a dodgy time for a couple of weeks last year but came back strong,
Valencia never had a run because we seemed we needed to give Emineke 10 chances to everyone else’s 1
    Same with Moses
Italy and Antonio have shown us all you need to be professional give 120% every game and you can achieve almost everything,I should have added Leicester as well,
Wilson,Ritchie,Dehenney, will all give you that because they are honest players not got to big for there boots and Sak needs to return to that frame of mind and I for one will be happy with him leading our line,
I must say AC has always given 120% it’s just his injury record and his lack of ball control
