Report: Palace on the Antonio case AGAIN

|

Crystal Palace again have their eyes on West Ham player Michail Antonio as a potential replacement for their Wilfried Zaha this summer according to Football Insider.

Roy Hodgson’s outfit have been looking at the resurgent Antonio for months but there is little chance of him being tempted out of the London Stadium at this stage.

With Zaha almost certainly on the move this summer they will need a player with pace and power with Antonio fitting the bill.

But the 29 year old showed terrific form as a partner for Marko Arnautovic towards the end of the season and Manuel Pellegrini is keen to keep the pairing together at the start of the season and possibly long term.

It would take a bid of at least £25 million to remotely interest the Hammers but with Pellegrini calling all the shots on arrivals and departures it is extremely unlikely to happen.

Antonio has scored a total of seven goals in all the competitions for the Hammers which is much better than the prior season in which he only scored three.

Meanwhile, Zaha found the net 10 times for Crystal Palace and sett up 5 more goals from notable assists.
