Report: Positions Hammers want to strengthen revealed

West Ham boss David Moyes will be backed this summer and is aiming to sign a number of new players in a variety of positions.

The Guardian reports that there is interest from the Irons in signing a variety of players in a number of positions.

The newspaper claim that one such position is at left-back, as Moyes bids to source backup to Aaron Cresswell, given doubts over Arthur Masuaku’s ability.

Moyes would also like to sign at least one central midfielder, with there being precious little depth in the position beyond Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek, especially given that Mark Noble is retiring and Alex Kral is returning to Spartak Moscow at the end of his loan spell.

West Ham are keen to sign a new central defender, too, with Nottingham Forest’s Joe Worrall again named as a target.

In addition to that, he would like to sign an attacking midfielder and potentially a new left winger, with Andriy Yarmolenko set to depart once the season is over.

It’s a given however that his first priority will be a striker and CandH revealed yesterday that Ollie Watkins, Darwin Nunez, and Armando Broja are three names definitely on his list.
